About Madison County Schools
The Madison County School District is a public school district based in Flora, MS. In addition to Flora, the district serves the cities of Ridgeland and Madison, a small portion of Jackson that lies in Madison County, the community of Camden, and most rural areas in Madison County. The Madison County School District encompasses 21 schools and an estimated 1500 employees including teachers, administrators, and support staff. Like many school districts across the country, Madison County is facing the challenge of compensating its staff adequately to ensure the delivery of meaningful education to families in it’s community. Madison County citizens are fortunate to be home to some of the finest schools in the State. The REBATE program will extend a value added benefit to educators and district employees while supporting business in the county.
About the REBATE program
REBATE (Rewarding Educators By Awarding Their Efforts) is an online business discount program exclusively for Madison County teachers, administrators and support staff. The web based program will offer significant benefits from many types of businesses in Madison County. In order to enjoy these perks, employees will simply have to show their current School District Employee card at any participating REBATE Partner.
How the REBATE project was executed.
The Leadership Madison County team of Virgilio Guardado, Solve Design; Glenn Partrick, Atmos Energy; Melissa Peters, Community Trust Bank, and Susan Sgrignoli, Northpark Mall chose the task of creating a business discount program to benefit the Madison County School District employees.
To execute our project, our leadership team chose to develop an online business discount program. The web based program will offer significant benefits from many types of businesses in Madison County. It will not only include ongoing discounts, but hope that it will also offer one time or seasonal special offers. The School District Employees can use the web site to track participating businesses. In order to enjoy the perks, the employees will have to show their current School District Employee card at any participating REBATE Partner.
This self sustainable website will allow the business owner to register their discounts online. The Madison County School District employee in charge of the REBATE website will be notified by the system and with a simple click of his mouse, approve or request minor adjustments to the submission. If approved, the discount will automatically go live on the website for school district employee’s to enjoy. Finally, a decal sticker will be sent to the REBATE Partners so they can place them in their store fronts.
